High quality bulbs and plants
Service is unacceptable. Delivery was delayed for 4 days and still not received. Can you immagine quality of the flowers which spent 4 (or more) days on UPS truck????? Horrible and very expensive!
I'm a Master Gardener (for 16 years) with the University of Illinois Extension and, as such, cannot recommend any specific grower but I sure can give examples. And White Flower Farm is definitely one of my examples of top notch, high quality plants and excellent service.
The people who answer the phones are not clear when they are open or closed to visitors. There is a store phone number and a catalog number for their location in Torrington which I understand is not open to visitors. Both locations give bad information. I called ahead because I am over an hour away. They were closed when I got there, even though I was assured they would be open.

They wont listen to people about a product that they sell. They are selling a dahlia that is not true to name at all. There are a members from the American Dahlia Society that have sent them emails telling them that a picture of a variety that they are selling is not that variety at all... And it is a variety that one of my clients have hybridized, and right now, he is not very happy about it at all. I buy my roses here. They packed them very nicely and they arrive in good shape.
They are the best and they stand by their plants. And my favorite place now takes PayPal!
