This is the second time in 2 days they have shipped plants to me over a month before the earliest planting day possible (first week in May where I live). If it try to put the plants in now they will certainly die (the ground is still frozen) and there is no way to safely store them until they can be planted. I called them yesterday after the first batch of plants was shipped to get them to turn the shipment around and they said essentially "Too Bad" but they'd fix the rest of the order to ship on time. Obviously they don't t... read more

I need some help with my dallas please. I packed them in an ice chest with peatmoss for the winter. Checked them the 1st month and every thing was good. Well I just check them today 3/26 and I have new growth on all of them. Like 3 inch shoots on most. We still have snow from last week and I know the ground is still to cold for them. What to doo???. 1 have maybe 15 large clumps of tubers that I wanted to divide. Can I still dived them before planting? Help please...

Business response:

Hi Mr. Gawlas - you can plant the tubers in pots now and grow them indoors until they can be transferred into the ground. You'll want to use 6-8” diameter pots (depending on the size of the tubers) and good quality potting soil. Find a nice sunny spot indoors, and when it's time to plant them out you'll want to acclimate them gradually from part sun to full sun over the course of 5 days or so before planting them in the ground. Hope this helps - you'll find our full Dahlia growing guide at: https://www.whiteflowerfarm.com/ho... read more

My amaryllis looks pretty, but it's not what I ordered. Mine are all salmon pink & I ordered 'Pajama Party'. I will try to post a photo here.

I swear, my husband orders something from White Flower Farm almost every month! He enjoys perusing the catalog, and watching for delivery of his orders. I miss going to our local places, but he says everything we get from White Farm does well, and they’re family-owned.

Just received my order of a beautiful wreath and garland. The packaging was exceptional - keeping the plants from moving around in the box. The smell is awesome too. Thanks White Flower Farm!
