Unfortunately this was the worst hotel I’ve ever visited. I was here with my mom and two children for our family reunion and I am one of many that experienced horrible conditions. The hotel is outdated for sure. The first room we were given smelled of cigarette smoke, carpet smelled of mildew, the covers were dirty with stains and the one chair had deodorant stains. My daughter stayed with friends for an event and said the ac unit was leaking in room and floor was wet. Dampness in the air made it difficult to breathe for her asthma. Bathroom had no soap or shampoo, and the power went out in their bathroom.
Very old dated hotel! Beware of bed bugs. Recently attended for a family reunion and m disappointed that so many people in our family experienced bed bug bites! Other visitors had the same complaints and left to go to nearby hotels. The mattresses were soiled and uncomfortable. Furniture in rooms and lobby are worn and need replacing! There are wasp nests on balcony. Witnessed someone in our group stung three times including on her face! My toilet in my room stopped working. Beds not made. I was there for a Family Reunion this past weekend. This property has bed bugs, roaches, wasp nests, electrical, plumbing and mildew issues. I would not recommend this place! Although Ms. Zanini went above and beyond to help with all the issues I’m sure that management is aware of all the problems, because other guests were checking out or complaining at the same time! Came to Whispering Woods Hotel for wedding August 10 2018 from Savannah Ga. As my daughter pulled back her linen bedbugs started crawling on sheets and pillows. Called front desk and Jessica sent assistance to my room. Only to assist me getting my bags out of the room and trying to contact management. Hopefully I will receive letter of concern from Management and compensation for having to make my own accommodations for the situation since sister hotel was full.
The initial appearance of the facility was ok although much of the grass needed to be mowed. The rooms are dated and we had issues with the bathroom light working intermittently. No one showed up to work on it despite two calls. There was a general feeling of dampness even with the A/C unit running nearly continuously. We never received any cleaning of the room during a 4 night stay. I swiped towels from a cart on day 2 and called for the trash to be emptied on day 3. Old outdated hotel, no Real restaurant, lots of issues with room (toilet, dark colors in bathroom, sink drains slow), needs upgrade badly. Fortunately strip shopping center was a short walk nearby since I had no car. If Marriott owns this hotel they need to renovate ASAP!
Friendly Staff, Pleasant Environment, very clean! Enjoyed my visit! 5 Star For Sure!
