Over-priced for the quality & quantity you get in return. I had to pay $4.99 for a package of sliced white mushrooms that would’ve cost half the amount at Fresh Thyme or Hy-Vee. I also ended up paying $2.99 for a small red pepper which has skin/peel that is already wrinkling. I was hoping to become a Wheatsfield customer since Fresh Thyme closed (in Ames). I’ll drive the extra 25 miles to go to Fresh Thyme in Des Moines.

Wheatsfield always has many options for my vegan, gluten-free and restricted diet. Their produce selection is high quality and I can stick to locally grown. The health section and other fun finds means one stop shopping for me! Their prices make my restrictive diet affordable while making it feel less restrictive with a wide selection and new offerings!

Provides a very comforting, clean, and organized environment! Amazing customer service!!!! Staff are very down to earth. Not at all overly "pushy" to assist you (Which I personally appreciate) but compassionately available for questions & direction if you're looking for help within the store.

Wheatsfield is a great place to shop, eat, or chill out. It's a cooperative, with the hard work of employees and members, together creating a great community grocery store. Check it out sometime.
