Fun Place to start the night – Went to Wet Willies on a Friday night the place was not too busy, the bartender greeted us with a smile. Having never been to WW before I was pleased to find out that you were allowed to get samples of the different drinks....so the bartender suggested a few of her favorites and happily gave them to us. There was a good mix of music playing and the crowd seemed to be having fun. Would defiantly recommend Wet Willies to my friends.
Wet Willies is AWESOME! – Wet Willies is a great addition to the Charlotte Area! The drinks are awesome! The fact that you can taste the alcoholic beverages before you order them... what other place lets you do that! And the range of drinks are great; when I feel like getting wasted, I get a Call-a-Cab. Wet Willie's Charlotte – HORRIBLE IS ALL I CAN SAY.. I am from MIAMI where wet willies is originally from on south beach. The vibe at the Charlotte Wet Willies is awful the drinks taste nothing like the way south beach wet willies taste. I would not recommend to anybody the place is an embarassing to have the Wet Willies name.
Terrible Place – As you can see from the reviews you should not go to Wet Willies. Hit up Black Bear, Halo, and Butter instead.
Power Trip – Last night my husband and I took our friends from out of town to wet willies. One of our friends had a hat on and was asked to go put it in the car. He and my husband walked back to the parking lot on the side street, put the hat up and walked all the way back. When they got back to the door, the same jerk that told them to take back the hat told them the bar was closed and turned them away. I was so angry. Drinks good, music sucks! – This would be a great place if they played more recent music and took request.
Avoid this place – I heard a small hype about this place which is new in Charlotte. I've have many great nights out at the NC Music Factory so I was pretty excited to check it out. After spending a few hours at Fridays at the Factories we headed in to Wet Willies. We waited in a random line even though it was pretty empty inside. The hold up? Great time for a Strong Daiquiri...great live music – I visited Wet Willie's totally by accident last Sat around 4:30pm for a Happy Hour drink. We were walking by and decided to step in for a quick one. I would categorize the scene mainly as dive bar that seems to turn into a dance club at night (since we didn't stay too late).
