I arrived approximately 10 minutes late to my scheduled dermatology appointment due to unexpected traffic caused by an accident. Despite the waiting room being completely empty, I was informed that the provider refused to see me because the appointment was “slotted for 20 minutes” and there was not enough time remaining. I would not recommend for breast imaging. My doctor ordered ultrasound and mammogram. The tech did my ultra and told me she didn’t think I needed a mammo since everything looked normal. At first I left and then I realized I should not take advice from the tech so I went back to do my mammogram. After my follow up for results with MD, I had to do an additional test for something that was missed. Absolutely ridiculous!
I recently called in to get clarification on a medical question, and my experience with the Pediatric triage nurse, Donna, was extremely disappointing. From the beginning of the call, her tone was aggressive and unnecessarily hostile. I was genuinely confused about why the conversation escalated so quickly, so I calmly asked several times if I had done something wrong or if we could rewind and start over for clarity.
