I had first appt on Monday at Western Dental in Downey. Staff was very courteous and friendly. Place was very clean, not fancy but clean. . Waited a little bit then was called, explained my problem, was taken to get xrays. Dr examined me and reviewed options. J... explained financial options. What is amazing was their patience and kind manner in explaining and answering my many questions. Their payment program is very manageable! I appreciated that they treated respectfully and patiently. I was suspicious that a back molar tooth did not need to be pulled, the radiologist agreed with me, but the dentist insisted on pulling it anyway- I went in for a check up and the dentist was 30 minutes late so i had to have the checkup with a different dentist, i bumped into him as i left and it was awkward. BIGGEST ISSUE: I had a balance of $1700 for pulling two teeth and having injections of bone filler- and couldn't afford it so I set up $77 monthly payments; I replaced my bank card back in July of 2013 and reset up the ... read more
Great work place
We had an appt and still took them 1hr to call us in. My two year old was tired by then even us adults were bored and annoyed at how long we had to wait. The girls in the front went to lunch were talking about their nails and us people were waiting outside to be called. If they go to lunch at 1pm why give us an appt at that time. Terrible customer service. Dr. Maggie Abadan is by far the best dentist I have ever had which is saying something as I have lived all over the country and have been a patient of many different dentists. She is friendly, funny and fantastic at her job. She really makes going to the dentist something that you don't try to avoid. I have had several procedures done by her and her staff and they were all completed in a top notch manner. I got 2 fillings put in. it has been a month and 1 of my fillings is still aching because my filling is too big so it is making my teeth ache. When i close my mouth one side of my teeth touches first then the other side. i made a appointment to get it fixed. My husband had a 9:45 am appointment and is handicapped walks with a cane and has to use oxygen 100% of the time, he arrived 5 min late for the appointment (first time ever being there) it took the receoptionist another 5 minutes to find his name and appointmen said "you are 15 min late and you will have to reschedule!" what a crock.
