I lived in a 1-bed, 1-bath for a year. The apartment was very dirty when I moved in, with scratches from the previous tenant that were never repaired. Maintenance was slow, and they didn’t explain why part of my deposit was withheld at the end. Overall, it was a decent place to live.
These people will do anything they can to get more money out of you, including lie, cheat and actively steal from the account you have on file. They don’t give any notice on when they are entering a unit aside from a piece of paper on the front door, which is not sufficient notice. If you want a private, peaceful living experience, I encourage you to rent with RES.
If I could give zero stars I would. We lived at West End Living for 5 years, and the final year was absolutely terrible. It started when we moved from one unit to a different one. Not only did they have us sign for an apartment they didn't have available, the unit we ended up moving into was awful. There was a rampant mold problem and the entire unit smelled of cat urine. Charged $835.45 in paint and cleaning fees to clean 1 appliance and paint 3 rooms in an apartment that I took as is that they never cleaned or fixed anything before I moved into it, which I understand is my own problem. But someone lived there before us and nothing was fixed before we moved in, my roommates and took it as is so it’s our responsibility to pay for scuffs and walls that could have been done before us?
