When Cathy and Krista hatched the idea for their business back in 1999, they were inspired by the growing vibrant neighborhoods of West Asheville and the need for community-oriented walkable businesses. They both share a passion for healthy eating and a commitment to providing a welcoming atmosphere where families and neighbors can relax. Everything served at the West End is made from scratch, and whenever possible we use locally grown produce and organic products. Come for breakfast and stay for lunch!

Rude dude making the coffee drinks and then weak coffee=not my $. There is a reason BiscuitHead is slammed when WAB is not.
They've got the best darn cinnamon rolls I've ever tasted!
Lunch sandwiches were delicious, and the cinnamon rolls were phenomenal!
The people are friendly and welcoming; the food is tasty and healthful; the coffee is super. The cafe is the historic anchor of the now HOT West Asheville. My husband and I came from Atlanta and we were told to come here by many people on Reddit. We ate here yesterday morning. We ordered two blueberry scones, two sandwiches on biscuits, and two lattes. These sandwiches were huge and amazing. There was no need to add anything to them. The scones were amazing too. We both ate every bite. We were taken care of by a lady with dark brown/black hair and she was extremely helpful and sweet. We will be recommending this place for sure.
I had a small latte and a veggie sausage egg and cheese everything bagel. The veggie sausage I believe was homemade and was amazing, I wish I knew how to make them like that! Bagel, probably the best I've ever had. Also, took home some of the blueberry coffee cake for later. Just finished it up and man oh man I wish I would have bought the whole pan! Staff was super friendly as well.
The gentleman named JB that was working was just the sweetest! Would come back specifically because of his service! Not to mention the pastries are fantastic!
