We took the time to get a pre-approval to make sure everyone knew of our financial situation before starting the process because we were hesitant from the beginning we would get approval. Mortgage fraud, prolonging process 10 to 11 months , and each time I had a increase , till it reached almost $5,000 ! This was a V.A. mort , processed By Wells Fargo , in St. Daytona , by the Rudest Rep. The Mort cost was two to three times my previous Mort. ?

Wow. All the tales of fraud by Wells Fargo are indeed true. I was going to do a refi with them and while the branch employees were all very nice, the company as a whole uses fraudulently obtained funds to make their bottom line look better. Now that I look online, it seems everyone knows this about them. They charged my credit card for something that was never done and simply will not give the money back. I just made an offer on my new home and the pre-approval letter sent to me was not to include PMI but a higher rate (3.7%-4.2% without PMI) . However, when I went to file for the final steps of the mortgage, I was bait and switched to 5.5%!!!!!! NO WAY. The market doesn't fluctuate that much. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! DO NOT USE THEM!!!!

Wells Fargo is a scam. You have to pay close attention to the balance and not just make your payments because they will hide fees. Ended up paying over $225 fees this year in 6 months. When I called they said I was a day late of paying and so I was charged with $37 late fee. I will never again buy anything financed through Wells Fargo again.

I recently applied to refinance my house with Wells Fargo. I have been banking with them for 40 years! I had my house appraised at $850,000.00 however since I am a widow and do not have a large income they have not approved me. I am very disappointed with this bank and remove all my accounts from them!

There are thousands of horror stores about Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. They're all true. We had to use Wells Fargo to buy our home in 2003 because they were one of the only lenders available to us at the time thanks to an alcoholic mortgage broker that we ended up using because of a realtor recommendation. I definitely should have visited the BBB page prior to attempting to open a home equity line of credit through Wells Fargo. The entire process has been a nightmare--no contact and ignoring multiple phone calls and emails. The last straw is that once we finally closed, they advanced us a large sum of money for the work we are having done, and I am still trying to locate the money. The only way to rate Wells Fargo Customer Service is with a BIG FAT ZERO! Their loan people don't return calls and when you can get someone, they talk out of both sides of their mouth. They make promises and then don't follow through. Stay away from these people they don't care about the customer. Its a shame they took over ******** which had great customer service and relations.
