I spoke with a Mortgage Broker, Michael ****** ***** in Cary, NC. DO NOT USE WELLS FARGO, especially not this guy. I briefly spoke with him about the best options for interest rates and when I told him that this is the 3rd house I would be buying and that I knew how it worked, he said the following: "Woa Woa, I didn't like the way you said that". Wells Fargo Mortgage team is by far the worst experience in my life. April 2018 I was shopping for a mortgage and I thought it would be easy to just sign up with my bank for 20 plus yrs. I currently have my home mortgage with Wells Fargo. This is in fact the fourth home mortgage I have had with Wells Fargo over the past 30 years. I began processing paperwork in February to refinance my home since I recently retired and wanted to simplify my monthly financial obligations. We are having the worst time with Wells Fargo and trying to get a payoff balance without them adding additional fees and interest that amount to an additional $3,000 above the payoff balance. The customer service is dragging their feet and saying they have 45 days to review and consider our disputes. Wells Fargo offered a payment deferment for homeowners that were adversely impacted by Hurricane Irma last year. I thought man that is a great company! In fact, I loved Wells Fargo as a banking institution. So I thought that this one just another great way that WF was servicing its customers, NOT!!!! Have a Wells Fargo home mortgage that has a pmi fee. Called on march 1st, 2018 and was told that a payment pending that they had would pay off last pmi payment. I was told April 1 st. Bill would reflect new price. Just received bill and it still shows pmi due for April. I called and they said we have to pay another payment to them for pmi. Wells Fargo Mortgage is a joke. We have had our mortgage with them for 12yrs of a 15yr contract. Went through a br and continued to pay our mortgage with no problems. Applied for a line of credit and was rejected because of the br and we had broke our contract with them. I started looking to figure out how we broke our contract and looked at our credit report. We started our mortgage with Wells Fargo in July of last year. They had previously sent us a pre-approval letter. After three months of waiting for them to figure out items we switched companies. The new company originated and closed our mortgage in three weeks. Wells Fargo had the following issues: 1. Had a Mortgage with Wells Fargo that was paid off last January. My refinanced Mortgage is with ********* *******. A little over a week ago I paid the mortgage using bill-pay with my bank. Did not receive the usual email from ********* the following day and logged into my account to see that the payment had been made to Wells Fargo.
