Junk sliding door. Worthless garbage that doesn't function as designed and has faulty panes that fog. Do not even pursue redirect link that leads to "new" company under MEI. They sold this door under the pitch of lifetime warranty, yeah right.
They have indeed gone out of business - very sad to leave all their customers hanging. I only found out about it after tracking down the cell phone of my salesman. I have spent thousands of dollars with them over the last several years on new windows. Some of the seals have now broken and need to be replaced. Their lifetime warranty is worthless. I will now have to pay some reputable company to replace the bad windows. Lesson learned, always go with a solid company - don't try to help a struggling one.
I have been calling for the past two weeks with no return call. I am so disappointed with the lack of customer service.
Signed Purchase agreement for patio door in March, 2014. Install was performed Mid April as promised. Door arrived with no sliding screen door. I am also not satisfied with install or quality/craftsmanship of unit. Gaps in the 45 degree mitered vinyl corners on inside. Wellington is a great local company. Their windows are high quality and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Will definitely use again and recommend to everyone that I know!
I love our Wellington windows, they are much better than the original windows that were installed in our house. The guys (I forget their names) who installed were great. They were quick, friendly and you couldn't even tell they were there after they left... no mess. When we chose our windows, Ron was very helpful, he explained the difference in Wellington's windows compared to what we had, and made our choice that much easier. Highly recommended!
