Have come here on and off for 40 plus years. I enjoy the food my favorite is the prime rib. The wait staff are almost always very nice and friendly which makes you much more comfortable when dining alone. However the interior is also the same as 40 yrs. Ago. The booth seats feel well used. The chairs are thread bare on the corners. One chair was actually falling apart. This place needs a facelift! Shag carpet on the bar walls was all good when it was put in. But very out dated now. This is one of those places where if you don't know about it you just don't know about it the food was absolutely fantastic the service is Old Time Country service. I couldn't have asked for anything more but a bigger appetite
Horrible service. Mediocre food. We were there for 90 minutes before we got our food. The waitress 'forgot ' to put in our order. At least she admitted to that. We had to ask for rolls. She served the salad to 3 of us and forgot the 4th persons soup until we had to ask for it. She spilled my cocktail and didn't wipe it up or offer to refill it. Awesome steak in a 70's atmosphere. At 70's prices..
It's the best meat in town. Other steak shacks are fancier but this place has it where it counts.
Carol, who has been our server for numerous years is the reason that we come here!
