This is a bait and switch con. After fully disclosing everything about my vehicle in the online form, they issue an inflated amount they are willing to pay and inform me online that the next step is a visual inspection that may adjust that amount up or down based on the shape of the car. I'm feeling confident because the car is in good shape. Then upon inspection (that takes an hour) they discount my car based on everything I've already disclosed which resulted in a lowball offer.
