About this business
We pride ourselves in a menu that has local variety specials daily, reasonable prices and friendly staff! We bake our own rolls, bread and desserts daily too! Last July, we started making our own ice cream and the response has been grand! We look forward to serving adults and kids for years to come - we will be celebrating our 100th anniversary in 2018....stay tuned!

Great food and service. Accommodating to my wheelchair.
First time visit, it was such a great experience! Food was terrific, staff was suberb! When we visit my Aunt again, we will be returning for sure!
Roast Beef slices were a little thin compared to other times we have been there.
Where do I start My mother worked there Years ago When it was open, walk up order order My daughter also ( 10 yrs ago? ) Had ( inside seating) rug.. change 1,cleaned.. 3 Time's,.. wall ppr.. 3, & more) just kept getting dirtier " 30 " yrs! Still go but food is far from good, We keep trying, but strike out. /: ... atmosphere UNPLEASANT.!!
My favorite place to eat in Montpelier! I visit from West Virginia at VCFA and Wayside is my go to place for food that makes me feel at home! Best value you can get too!
Large portions. Easy to find. Friendly staff. Very good!
Went to Wayside lunch cheeseburger was small dry food was cooked wrong they charge you for onions and cheese four cheese burger when brought up to management management didn't care they Shrugged their shoulders and said that's the way it is. Only told the management that the food wasn't cooked right and that it wasn't good again they shrug their shoulders and didn't seem to care that they were serving food that was not prepared right. Will never come back here again
