My stay there was great. Nurses & Nursing Assistants were exceptional, especially Zee & Sewraney on the 7th floor. Food was pretty good too. My only gripe with the food is that 3 or 4 things (cranberry juice, maple syrup, ketchup) were nutritional crap. All made with high fructose corn syrup. You would think In a hospital the Dietary staff would know how bad corn syrup is. Real food is best.
Waterbury Hospital ER was the worst experience ever. Everyone besides the MD was a terrible employee. It must be a requirement to have an attitude and be disrespectful to get a job here. Completely disorganized and dirty. Go to any other Hospital before chosing this one.
I had Total Hip Replacement- Revision this past week. My surgeon Dr. Kristaps Keggi was awesome. The pre-op team was terrific. The post op care was great. All nurses were great most of the PCAs were great. A couple of PCAs were only fair. Overall - excellent experience. I highly recommend their Joint Replacement unit. Bill Block.
I arrived around midnight on Monday suffering from extreme back pain, which for me indicates heart problems. They took me right in and did an ekg and blood work. Blood enzymes showed an abnormality, and was admitted. Next morning I was in the Cath lab and received angioplasty and a stent. The staff was caring and made sure I was well cared for. I get my outpatient treatment there I love this hospital compared to the the other one in the city I go to this Er now more prompt on the dime than the other one
