Didn't go this year. Way too expensive, no parking etc. But the number one reason this year is your commercials turned us off.....let's make jokes about people dying and lying to our bosses, yeah that's just not classy and not something my family can stand behind. Disappointing by a place we used to love when we would 'Do the Puyallup'. It was something we knew, something classy, something we looked forward to. New advertising is rude and wrong.
We go to the fair yearly. This year we decided to order our tickets online. I do NOT recommend this option. We ordered the tickets online. Had to stand in line to get the ticket for the rides. Then stand in line AGAIN to get the ticket card. The lady at Will Call was so rude & unhelpful. Why I had to stand in line 2 times to get ride tickets is beyond me. Next year I will be standing in line to buy my ride tickets like normal. Less of a wait this way! The nursing station is quite gross. Awesome they have a/c in the units but... read more
Missing 1 star for 1 reason.. It's The Puyallup Fair, It always has been the Puyallup fair, and it will always be... you guessed it, The Puyallup Fair. Not the washington state fair. When you finally realize this you will be 5 stars again.
I really enjoyed the day despite the rain. We went to all the livestock barns and enjoyed talking to the 4H kids. The food on the midway was far to expensive. Next year I will eat in the food court inside the main showroom. Much cheaper. Everyone enjoyed the fair for the family fun that it is.
I have been going to the fair since I was a kid, this was my first time to the spring fair and we enjoyed ourselves
Rides seemed to be a little more worn than usual. Workers seemed even less enthusiastic, perhaps burned out by the extra week? But the food in the covered Food Pavillion (or whatever it's called) was both grossly overpriced beyond the expected markup and just gross. Undercooked and, well, inedible, even for someone who appreciates "bad" food. Something about this year's event simply didn't work. But of course, our kids are young, so we'll be back. Hopefully it will improve.
The fair was awesome but the rides are too darn expensive.
Had a wonderful day at the fair. My daughter enjoyed the rides and games. It will be a family tradition to visit the event every year.
Washington State Fair has a 3.6 star rating with 501 reviews.
Washington State Fair is closed now. It will open on Monday at 8:00 a.m.
