It's so expensive now! I grew up going to the Puyallup fair, and everyone loved it! Families and friends of all ages and now it's expensive to just get in the fair let alone actually try to do something there! I feel bad for vendors because you can walk around and see people walking in and through but no one is buying anything anymore because they can't afford it. It just makes me sad to see how many people have stopped going to the fair because of so many changes. It used to be such a great and fun place. The atmosphere isn... read more
Crowded and disorganized. Unprofessional, untrained staff. Super expensive on the edge of price gouging. Support for youth and non commercial showmen is not equal to the benefit provided to the Fair nor that of the paid staff. It is time for The Washington State Fair to move out of town and centrally locate so they can truly be the state fair.
Growing up, I attended the Puyallup fair multiple times a year and enjoyed being able to experience it all. This year I was gifted fair tickets but still had to make the decision to by pass it this year with my three children because you keep increasing prices making it unaffordable. I'm very disappointed with where the "Washington State Fair" has ended up and I know I'm not the only family who feels this way. I hope you turn it around.
The food booths need to improve. Better food, healthier options, cleaner and proper food handling, better customer service at the rides and ticket booths, have people pre-trained on the registers before opening, have more local food vendors, lower the price of beer and water, and discontinue the Scone Ice cream (it isn’t good and it’s way overpriced for how much you get).
I had a blast with family, but you're rides and good is wayyyy over priced !
Arrived hungery and did not take the time to look first, some places have low food quality
Well when I was growing up they use to have food and things outside of the fair. Since they stop doing that. It's not that much fun anymore, and is very spence to go to the fair. Everything is over price
Puyallup was my home my entire childhood. We live in Olympia now so come back for the Fair every year...a tradition in our family. While there is a lot of entertainment, rides etc. the prices are high. I feel so sorry for families who cannot afford the prices. It used to be a family, hometown fair and now is a big money maker. That is sad. It has lost a lot of its charm over the years.
