Evidently, Wasabi's do not take reservations. They would prefer to bring people in and have them wait for anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours. This is no way to run a restaurant. When you have no respect for the customers how can they expect the customers to return? 20 minutes means anytime in the distant future. Try coming there with kids and you you'll go crazy. My family and I are frequent vistors to this restaurant, it has always been fun and yummy, until tonight! Are chef was mad at the world, and when someone at the table order no veggies, to the chef that meant no one was getting any!!! After my husband and I recieved our chicken and steak, we noticed a pile of the veggies that were suppose to be cooked with the meat, when my husband said, "hey where is our veggies", the chef poured soy sauce on them and flipped them and proceded to serve us raw onions, peppers, and mushrooms. ... read more

My daughers birthday party was a train wreck because of poor management practice. We called on Friday to see if they could accomodate a party of 17...Of coarse was the answer, so we made the reservation for 7:30pm. I arrived early at 7:00 to check in at the desk. They didn't have any pager devices left. She just told me to wait till our name was called. We had young children in our party (1 & 3 years old) and the Chef (I believe his name was Gary) was fantastic with them. Everything was great!

I have been a customer of Wasabi in Summerville multiple times. I absolutely love the food, the wait staff and the cooks. I have never had a bad experience until tonight. Not saying I will never go back again, but I will never go back again during the week! We arrived at the restaurant 1 minute before 7 and checked in, we had call ahead seating. We did call ahad seating for 8pm. When we got there we were told it would be a 45 min wait. So we waited...and waited and WAiTED!!! after 45 min we asked when we would be seated, only to be told there were 11 more parties to be seated in front of us. If you're going to wasabi....expect to wait. Or rather...just go to a different restaurant that knows how to do call ahead seating!!

Its terrific! The food is great and prices are reasonable. So thankful for a Japanese steak house in Summerville that compares to Miyabi's!

It's not easy to get great entertainment AND a fabulous fresh cooked meal for a reasonable price. It's like a dinner show! Fun for kids and adults alike. Sufficient variety to please every taste bud. Nice bar area. And, if you don't like the idea of sitting with strangers at a Hibachi table, ask for the same food to be served to you in the 'sushi' area, a quieter table area which includes a sushi bar. Overall, it's hard to find this quality food and entertainment for these prices. Great band for the buck!
