This is the best place for all of your gardening needs. They have a great selection. Don't see what you want? Ask and they will let you know when its coming and if they can get it for you. Everyone is super helpful and friendly!
Very Knowledgeable! Walter Andersens is worth the trip. Not only do they have a wide variety of plants,trees, and flowers, but they are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We brought in a leaf one time and they were able to diagnose what was wrong with our tree and they told us exactly what we needed to do to help get our tree healthy again. They know a lot and they want to help you. They also have beautiful pots, fountains, and wild bird supplies.
Best Nursery The people are very helpful. I had an area that nothing would grow in and they suggested that I plant a fern garden and low and behold, it worked. I would have never thought of it. They have a great selection of gardening necessities and extras. They are always accessible for questions.
Walter Andersen Nursery They have every flower known to man. Its run by the best people in the world. Its been serving San Diego since 1928, one of San Diego's oldest nurseries. YOu can still find Walter Andersen Junior behind the counter giving out advice to their customers
Animal Abuse Love the nursery - Hate how they treat their parrot, rabbit and tortoise. The poor parrot gets a seed only diet (very bad for birds) and never is taken out into the sun (they need sun as much or more than we do). I asked the owner, Walter, about it and he didn't care AT ALL. Even though the parrot's cage has wheels and is parked 10 feet from an open door HE THOUGHT IT WAS TOO HARD to treat a pet decently. Great Nursery I always enjoy my trips to Andersen Nursery. They have a wonderful assortment of plants. I can spend hours just browsing around. They also have unique gift ideas for any occasion. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. It is nice to know there are still independent businesses around.
Andersen Nursery I work right by Andersen Nursery and one day decided to pop in and now I am addicted. They have a wonderful assortment of plants and I can find myself spending hours just browsing. Everyone who works there is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable.
