I would just like to say a big Thank You to Mikayla Surina, APRN and all the staff at prohealth in Wallingford. My husband was diagnosed with mono but because he was so sick Mikayla had him go for extensive blood tests which revealed he had babissia a form of Lyme disease. She worked closely with Dr. Bakallini on also getting my husband’s diabetes regulated. She is one of the hardest working APRNs I ever met, Mikayla truly cares about her patients. this place misdiagnosed and disregarded my mom for months for something she knew she had!! and Carlos Valentin misdiagnosed my dad when he had meningitis. hard pass for this place!!
I got diagnosed with bronchitis at urgent care in January. They told me to follow up with my primary care if I wasn’t improving. So I called pro health and they scheduled me right away. Then I get a call I need to come in 15 minutes earlier to get a Covid and flu test. I told them I’m absolutely not paying them to test me, I already had been diagnosed which the nurse did read to me they had the paperwork from urgent care.They denied seeing me because I refuse to be apart of their money scheme. I have never been able to just see a PCP if I am sick. I am always offered another Pro-Health location. Like Meriden. I went there once. It was gross. If I'm sick, I'd like to be able to see my PCP in the Wallingford office. I've never had this issue before. My old PCP with Yale would always squeeze me in.
