I called Wallace Properties and spoke with Jack Wallace about a house I was interested in. I asked him the pet policy. He said it was negotiable and asked you what I had. When I said I have four adult cats this is exactly what happened. He said, and I quote, "No, no, no, no", then hung up on me. A simple and professional, "No, that is not acceptable thank you have a good day" would have been much more appropriate.
