The nurses, doctors, anesthesiologists, and the facility itself deserve a five star rating. Their billing practice is something else. They made me pay ahead before the surgery. After all the claims were finalized by my insurance, I saw that this surgery center owes me over $700. They got a check by my insurance but they still want to dispute with my insurance over the charges. In the meantime, they are refusing to refund me my money. The care was good, the billing department is incompetent at best. I was told multiple times by the rude lady on the phone that they would only take the full amount due on day of surgery. When I asked if they had a care credit provider they worked with I was told there was no such thing available. Imagine my surprise when I show up on the day of surgery, and the lady who was checking me in and taking payment had brochures for a care credit Wakemed uses! Cary Surgery Center is a wonderful facility for outpatient procedures. Dr. Eric Duberman removed my gallbladder. All staff was phenomenal especially Tony (he was a great nurse).
