The W's trendy rooftop bar brings the beach--sand and all--into the heart of downtown. – In Short A grand staircase from the hotel lobby--which morphs into a chic lounge after dark--leads up to an outdoor oasis on the 4th floor roof. With warm, white sand underfoot, well-groomed groups dressed casually hip in designer jeans and shirts sip chardonnay and martinis while gossiping near the fire pit or lounging in large white cabanas. Light techno music gets louder and funkier as the night wears on.
Fantastic, really unique environment. – Warm sand a firepit make it really unique and a great place to hang out. And if the weather is not so great you can still enjoy the "Living Room" downstairs.
Breakfast – You can't go wrong with anything on their breakfast menu. My favorite is the waffle with vanilla butter...great! On my second visit, though, the service was pretty slow (maybe the wait staff had a long night).
very disappointed – My husband and I wanted a nice romatic night on the town. Rice was a bad choice. We choose the 5 course chefs menu. Our plates were left on the table for an unreasonable amount of time. The time between courses took forever. It appeared that there was one server for the entire restaraunt, and no one to help bus the dishes! The music was so loud we couldnt carry on a conversation.
