We found an injured bird in our yard in Huntington. Not knowing what to do, we called the animal hospital who gave us VFW’s info. It was after hours and I left a message and sent an email. Lauren replied back advising us how to handle the situation. Her husband Justin picked up this cutie pie from our home at 8pm on a Friday night. It’s amazing to have people like this in the world. We asked how we can help them. Justin didn’t ask for money. He simply said we have an amazon wish list if you’d like to help. We will definitely... read more

Thank God for these people. Alicia was wonderful and helped my daughter and I over the phone and by email to rescue baby birds and nurse them overnight until we could drop them off this morning!

I was able to bring a fledgling mourning Dove there on Memorial day that I had found the day before on the ground, they took him in and cared for him till the day he was old enough to fly and feed himself, they sent me a message that day, I was so glad they responded to me within an hour of my phone call, TYVM for caring for my little friend.

Saw a volunteer presentation at NHOC meeting. Didn't know this organization existed & I think it's wonderful to have this available to help injured wildlife!

Young Gannets hardly come ashore in the summer, this one appeared stranded on TOBAY and stalked by a predator over night (notice the footprints in the sand). Volunteers had it picked up in a couple of hours. I hope the bird can be rehabilitated. Thank You!

So grateful that you are helping the poor little fox I brought in a few weeks ago. Thank you for immediately freeing him from that metal can and providing him the care he needs. 🦊💜🦊
