I found a young goose without flight feathers so it cant fly. I've been calling since yesterday and no one seems to be providing me with the information of what i need to do. I cant leave the baby goose outside bc i live by the meadowbrook prkwy. I dont know what to feed the goose. Either way she hasnt been recieving anything. I need help.
Volunteers for wildlife went above and beyond for us last night when we found an injured Canada goose in a movie theater parking lot late at night. They are truly a dedicated and caring organization that understands the need for humans to be animal advocates in a city like ours. They rock.
I was desperately looking for an organization to help with an injured dove I had found in my backyard. I found Volunteers for Wildlife on line and that morning a lovely young woman called me and kindly told me to bring in the bird. I am forever grateful!
What an amazing place! We feel so lucky to have them so close by. I own Green Forest Veterinary Hospital in Glen Cove and they are always willing to take any young or injured wildlife our clients bring to us. We really enjoy working with them!
Today they took in 2 injured Eastern Grey baby squirrels that I found at work. It's great to know there is an organization like this on the Island who care for wildlife
