The Victorian mansion that houses Volt invokes awe and provides an apt setting for the high standards that this restaurant sets. Going by the restaurant's majestic facade, one might expect the dining room to be steeped in history, but Volt goes the opposite way with a sleek contemporary interior while still retaining many of the building's distinctive features. Clean lines, flowing white spaces and contrast in the form of the deep wooden hues on the chairs and the artwork on the walls gives the dining room a very fresh vibe.... read more

Amazing, delicious food and superior, friendly and efficient service. Each dish brought to our table was a work of art. Kudos to the pastry chef, who created one of the most delicious, beautiful, interesting desserts I've ever had. (The fig dish--please try it!!) It actually brought tears to my eyes. We traveled from Buffalo, NY to Frederick for a weekend getaway, mainly to eat at Volt and enjoyed the lovely historic downtown as well. Chef Bryan Voltaggio is a genius and puts so much care and heart into what does. He even au... read more
Great service, wonderful food. Even the restrooms were beautiful. I want to live there. Sighing with pleasure
Excellent service from the time we arrived to the time we left. Top notch food and creative dishes all very yummy
This was not a meal. It was a culinary journey with 21 stops and I loved each one.
We went for our anniversary and sat at the Chefs Counter. Chef Bryan is amazing! Highly recommended. I have Celiac disease and he prepared everything Gluten Free for me.
So delicious and decadent. The tasting menu was amazing.
The service was excellent. The food was exceptionally mediocre. My husband and I both had the beef as our main course - very, very tough and to say the least disappointing. I have had much better food - really not worth the Top Chef hype.
My husband and I went for our anniversary and had the 6 course tasting menu. I'd give 10 stars if that was an option. The service was impeccable and the food was seriously so INCREDIBLE we haven't stopped talking about it. I can't remember all the descriptions, but we had scallops, salisfy, cod, duck bolognese, lamb, and this chocolate passion fruit heavenly thing. The little bites before and after the meals were also awesome. There is this macaroon thing was out of this world. They even give a little take home coffee cake f... read more
This was a first time experience for my new Husband and I. We were in the DC area for our honeymoon and wanted a fine dining experience. We decided to try Volt after reading some reviews and receiving a recommendation from someone as well. Once we were seated and looked at the menu it was obvious we had no idea what to order but the staff was so helpful in making our experience a wonderful one. Everything was amazing from the cocktails to the desserts. Volt is most certainly on our list of places to visit again in the future... read more
