I am sad to say you service is way under par and lacking what it is that you say making a patient feel at comfort at the end of the road that is a bunch of BS. My mother is under your care and every day we have a new challenge. My mother is dying when all this is said and done I will take the necessary steps.
A written care plan, a durable power of attorney, a family caregiver, a PATIENT, are of no importance to this company. There is no accountability regardless of what occurs, no oversight of nurses by management, no concern by management except covering up failures. The advertised objective of “Patients and Families Come First” is a flimsy facade that sounds good, but there is nothing in practice holding it up. Patients and families come dead last. This is the most INCOMPETENT company I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. My best friend’s husband is dying and this company has done nothing but torture a dying man and his family. We were given NO supplies....no chucks, no briefs (the few that one nurse had were too small), no wipes, no gloves...NOTHING! We have been told almost every day that he may be kicked out of Continuous Care bc he is “doing too well” or his pain is “under control”. They portrayed that ther… See more

RecommendedEveryone who works there from the receptionist all the way to the GM is completely amazing!! They care about everyone and everything that goes on with the families on their services. Patients and families truly come first with them.

The care and the Compassion of the Nurses at Vitas outstanding, The Love they have for their Patients comes through, everyone from Vitas is special not only by taking care of their Patients also the Compassion towards me was a god send.
My stepfather recieved care from VITAS Edgewater, Florida. We could not have asked for better care than what he recieved from VITAS. There are several employees that we cannot thank enough and they are Mary(Jenny), Tina, Glen, Patty, Daniel, Holly, Thelma, and Chip. Their compassion and caring hearts will be forever remembered.
