One of my favorite joints in Denver – I have been meaning to write a review for this place for weeks and finally got around to it. I stumbled upon Vita about 2 months ago, wandering around the lower highlands in search of a spot for a late night drink. Love the Tuesday 1/2 off – Went there on a Tuesday randomly and I was mildly surprised when I found out everything was 1/2 off that was alcohol. Me and my date took a seat at the bar and the bartender was just perfect: knowledgeable, slightly cocky, quick with the humor, and kept my date having a good time. Great Rooftop Lunch Spot – Vita is my favorite roof bar in Denver. I have had dinner there a number of times and have always enjoyed the food. One of the city's best options – I love this place! Having had explored many of Denver's restaurants them, I rank Vita among the best. The energy is young and urban but not pretentious. The rooftop deck has phenomenal city views and is equipped with heaters that actually work for little girls like myself who get cold easily. Terrible Service – I have never experienced such slow service at any restaurant in Denver. I brought my family here before going to the Nuggets playoff game. We had two hours to eat lunch, which seemed like plenty of time. But, after sitting on the rooftop for almost an hour and a half we started to get a bit antsy. Our waitress completely ignored us. Uh oh – I experienced Vita with my friend and his family over a month ago. My friend was doing research on different restaurants trying to decide where to apply as a server. Awesome atmosphere, even better food!!! – I moved to Denver last summer and was told Vita had a great roof top patio, which I have frequented many times. But I had always only gone to Vita for wine and cocktails, they have a great Tues night wine special. Last night I took my girlfriend in for dinner. Great staff – We stopped here while waiting for our table at Lola to open up. After a delicious cocktail we opted to forgo our reservation and tuck into the cuisine here. The drinks were great, but stick to the small plate selections. The short ribs fell apart as expected, but the kitchen couldn't temp salmon even if they had sous vide. The great bartender and gorgeous view in the mirror of the rooftop bar more than made up for it.
