Great place, excellent drinks and ambiance and energy. It was easy to talk even though the restaurant had many happy customers. Went for a late brunch on Sunday May 13th with two others. We all ordered the 4 (FOUR) egg omelet which had excellent ingredients and very tasty with great flavor. However, there were hardly any ingredients except a good sized slice of mozzarella cheese. Great Venue....horrible service – I visited Vita for the first time on one of Denver's gorgeous 60 degree winter days. It took over 20 minutes to get a glass of wine (it was not busy), I finally had to ask the server if I could order and he rudely told me I needed to wait. The service was horrible, I got the impression that the staff felt we shoudl be lucky to be patrons at their restaurant. DELICIOUS! – We celebrated my bf's 30th birthday this Friday at Vita and it had an awesome time. We had reservations and got there early so had mojitos on the roof top and the view was amazing. Our server for dinner was wonderful, very attentive, and made great suggestions. Our Neigborhood is so great! – I have lived in North Denver my entire life and am sorry to say that I have never experienced Vita until this past weekend. I tend to frequent the "older" neigborhood restaurants like Gaetano's and Rosa Linda's, but heard about this spot from a close friend who swore it would be great for a "special occassion". Great views, not crowded – I went to Vita for a business lunch. We sat on the rooftop and I was pleasantly surprised at all of the menu options. Three or four items stood out and I decided on a small plate- the ceviche. Very simple, very nicely presented. I also discovered that they use natural chicken- very much appreciated! The only thing that made me sad was that I could not order one of the beautiful summery cocktails going by me. They looked absolutely delicious and I will definitely be back to try one...or three! =)
Atmosphere is a plus, the food is a minus – The atmosphere and service was very nice, but the food was terrible. My shrimp was over cooked and had that rubber texture and taste, and the Tuna Tartar had some parts that you could not chew up. I won't go further. The service and the atmosphere was very nice.
One of my favorite joints in Denver – I have been meaning to write a review for this place for weeks and finally got around to it. I stumbled upon Vita about 2 months ago, wandering around the lower highlands in search of a spot for a late night drink. Love the Tuesday 1/2 off – Went there on a Tuesday randomly and I was mildly surprised when I found out everything was 1/2 off that was alcohol. Me and my date took a seat at the bar and the bartender was just perfect: knowledgeable, slightly cocky, quick with the humor, and kept my date having a good time. He even gave us a taster of some moscato d'asti. Every bottle of wine and champagne was 1/2 off the list, from a 30 dollar bottle to Dom Perigon at 400.. that made me smile.
