GREAT venue for music and dancing and sipping wine. And I love the Gothic decor. All of the staff members were so accommodating and professional and made me feel welcome. I will definitely be back! BTW the folk band The Storytellers performed that night and they were awesome! I will always remember the warmth of the music and the people of the Villains Tavern.
Villain's Tavern is awesome! Gothic in design... all while under a big tent where folky musicians and patrons can have a Dead Man's Party. Like camping in pirate ship, or in Transylvania. Very warm atmosphere, packed with people, indoor and outdoor sections, and great staff and drinks. This is a venue where musicians and patrons can have a folked-up time.
This place was designed to throw perfect parties. First class sound system. The layout is amazing. Indoor and outdoor social areas. Clean bathrooms. Friendly bartenders. Incredibly professional staff. Tables are cleared right away. They have local bands playing with no cover. No pressure to buy but you want to buy, because it's a fun environment. Lots of convenient parking and close to the freeways. No joke, this is one of the greatest places to have a good time in LA and, my friends, is saying a lot.
Good food. Good crowd and good music. I’ve been there on three different occasions, comedy night, food was great, bbq, brisket, Mack and cheese, garlic fries. All very good. Was there for Puerto Rican food, music was folk jazz, I enjoyed that also. This last Saturday was Puerto Rican food and a salsa jazz band and dancing . Pay to park. Do not park on the bridge. About 4 cars had broken windows.
They had a Puerto Rico fundraiser on Saturday night- the food, music, ambience were perfect - met some Puerto Ricans visiting from New Jersey- great crowd. I will return- great selection of IPAs!
This place is amazing, live music, Awesome drinks and food is amazing!! Thursday nights 5:30 until close!!
