This was my first ever visit the restaurant was nice. The service was on point,they were really busy and my food took a few minutes to get there BUT,the seafood platter consisting of shrimp, flounder ,clam strips, sautéed green beans and wild rice was on the money cooked perfectly. I DO recommend the Village Cafe in Hampstead NC and I will return next Wed. When I'm up that way . Trust me I know good food !

Had lunch there yesterday! It's been remodeled since we were there about 1 year ago. Nicely decorated but still noisy! The food choice I had was excellent! Battered Cod Fish with homemade tarter sauce & homemade chips. Hubby had fresh spinach with his sandwich but gave it to me! It was delicious! Nice surprise! Give it a try :)

Use to love it and after today never going back. Worse service ever. Got food and finished eating before half of our drinks came out. Paid and left before the other half of drinks came.
Not happy today, tried to call for about 15 minutes and order lunch for 12 people, finally got thru and they asked us to hold on, put phone down and never returned! Then of course it was busy for the duration. That should have been a clue, but no, we went to restaurant and were going to order and wait on it. There were two waitresses working and both kept telling me I would have to wait! There were approximately 5 tables seated?!!? After about 15 min of them just passing by us, we just left.
