The Bun Bo Hue was really good and flavorful. The vegan lobster was okay, and the bun mam was decent. I didn’t enjoy the vegan banh canh cua as much though. The bun mam and banh canh cua had crab sticks, and I’m not sure if they’re truly vegan. The owner and staff were very friendly and enjoyed chatting with customers. The place is small but comfortable, and it wasn’t crowded since many people seem to order takeout. Overall a nice spot with welcoming service.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Viet Chay Vegan Cuisine on Wilson Ave in Toronto. We started with the appetizers, and they were incredible. The fried King Oyster mushrooms were perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the vegan roasted duck was beautifully prepared with amazing texture and taste. I had such a wonderful experience here. The service was incredibly quick and the owner was so helpful and kind. The food was amazing! So flavourful and I couldn’t even tell it was vegan. I would highly recommend Viet Chay whether you’re vegan or not!!
This is the place to go to for vegetarian / vegan foods! Vicky is the dynamic force behind the deliciousness and she is also super enthusiastic with her cooking. I would give her 15-stars, if it’s possible. People, give this place a try when you are in Toronto and make sure you go when you’re very hungry because you’ll leave with a full tummy and a big smile! 🤤
I almost never leave reviews, but this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. From the moment we sat down, the owner took complete control in an unacceptable way. As soon as she realized it was our first visit, she snatched the menus away, told us what to eat, placed the order without our consent, and walked off before we could even respond. When I clearly stated that we only wanted two pho and one fried tofu and asked for confirmation, she deliberately ignored us and proceeded with the order she had decided on. ... read more
