I had the best care ever on Friday when I had day surgery. Natalie and Melissa were so kind. Dr Stone did a great job on my wrist. Recovery and day surgical depts were awesome as I was very nervous. Thank you all for the care you provided me with.

Shout-out to the day surgery team at VGH on Wednesday July 22/26! Everyone was so warm, kind, knowledgeable and demonstrated a passion for excellent patient care. I was quite anxious (i do not like hospitals!!....) and they were quick to provide Ativan and were gracious in helping support other 'scary' procedures...such as IV needles. Post-op team was just as amazing. Very attentive and very caring. While I was excited for the outcome I was absolutely dreading the procedure itself. I am indigenous, the ambulance people were caring and did their job professionally. Treated me like a human being took care of me and got me to Vic general. I got there throwing up, my symptoms were serious. I was the only indigenous person there. New People who came into Emergency, 5 hours later were called before me. I finally walked to nurses station asking why everyone who is new to emergency are going ahead of me? The nurses were unprofessional and especially the male nurse. Worst hospital I have ever been to. Emergency room has one doctor on as I was told by Triage. Brought in by ambulance sent for exray and have been waiting 5 plus hours and haven't been seen just sitting in waiting room. I have watched 6 patient arrive after us and be seen and leave. But to have no acknowledgement is terrible.
