OK so I live in upstate NY and called these guys to ask a vet a few questions about a 50+ year old female red eared slider (res) for a client of mine who is in a wheel chair and can't travel. This res belonged to her son who passed away a month ago so needless to say my client is very upset thinking she may loose the only thing she has left of her son. And they told me I can't speak to a vet without paying them $30. You may be the best vet out there but to charge someone any amount of money to just ask a few questions is abs... read more

I have 5 chinchillas and this center takes extreme care and pride in what they do. They have taken excellent care of two of my chinchillas who have teeth issues and thanks to them my family and I can help give our chinchillas a better life. Plus they have a beautiful parrot there; Target, whom I love to visit, caress and take "selfies" with...

My rabbit passed away at the emergency clinic a very sudden and devastating way. This has been really hard on me since there was nothing I could do. Today I receive a sympathy card from Bedford exotic with hand written notes from the employees giving condolences for my loss. I am so lucky to of had such a caring and thoughtful veterinarian team that understands that my rabbit was part of my family.

Well I finally found a Dr that really knows rabbits. I have a small rabbitry in Milford CT and I drive all the way to NY for Dr Hess's care. Lady Gaga is doing much better. Thank you for correcting all the misconceptions I have learned from other Vets. My life as a fiber artist is going to be a lot easier. I spend a lot of time and money making sure the lives of my little working friends are happy, healthy & have a great quality of life. Thank you for making that possible for me.

I have to concur with another lower-rated review here. Buddy of mine brought his new pet here (he's since stopped) & the push to sell their products was so very unseemly. It was shameless & it happened on more than 1 occasion. As he gained more experience with his pet, he gradually realized he'd been taken advantage of. The guilt made him feel as if he'd be a fool if he didn't purchase products A, B, & C. So he did. Most, if not all were unnecessary. He admitted to good service (despite the often grumpy-sounding phone recept... read more

Although my B/G Macaw Cooper doesn't seem to care if she visits the Dr's office but I do! Cooper gets very good handling as far as getting a big bird to get her nails clipped and to get the look over of her entire body. From her toes to the tip of her head she gets checked. Taking samples of blood is never fun, but the Dr is very patient and gives her time to relax. Not an easy task but they know the stressfulness this is on the birds. Thanks again to all of you!

Brought my African Fattailed gecko in today because I was worried he was coming down with mouth rot. Dr. Thielen assured me it wasn't and told me he was in fantastic condition. Went home with a mild antibiotic for a small parasite she found in his stool which was better then mouth rot. The staff there was excellent, the girls at the front were so polite and helpful. P.S. Sorry Dr. Thielen for Moon pooping on your and biting your finger Will be bringing the rest of my herps there for a check up real soon
