I received my home in June of 2021. I am a 100% disabled veteran going through breast cancer. I was told by my veteran loan officer ****************** and ******************* that I would be tax-exempt for this year. I also signed paperwork stating I will be exempt for this year. Veterans United has it on file I am tax-exempt for this year and isn't taking any escrow for me. Ask for a checklist of your loan product BEFORE you apply! I paid for an appraisal and a bug inspection, then, right before closing, Veterans United demanded a signed letter from my supervisor approving telework. What?! I have verification that I was hired as a VIRTUAL employee, but Veterans United is inflexible. I refused to engage my supervisor - its none of his business! Veterans United lost my business and I am out $1,000. Buyer beware!
