Coming from another VAMC in Indiana to this one is a pleasant surprise. Walked into ER was seen and out in an hour. Would've been 3 hours at the other location. Continued review. Had to come back again 10 days later to the ER and admitted to hospital from there. I spent four days in and I have no complaints. The staff all the way from ER Drs to nursing staff and even the staff that cleaned my room and served meals were professional, polite and friendly! My nurses were the greatest the entire time. Every time I come here I am unsatisfied with my care. Came in today to ER with tightness in my chest. The doc comes in, listens to my chest for a second and says there is no wheezing so what did I need. I tell her my nebulizer is no longer working and I was curious if there was something I could take that would help me until I could see my primary care. She says there is no wheezing right now so she can't do anything, to call my primary care. I call them and get sent to voicemail, knowing I won't be able to get in for a coup... read more

RecommendedThe staff at the Cheyenne VA are great and they do not keep you waiting for a long time to be seen.
Better care for the veterans. If the VA is supposed to take care of us, then take care of us instead of treating us as a percentage

I'm sorry to hear about your experience.
I'm curry in a hospital in Greeley hooked to a wound vac from a gun shot wound to my hand had developed compartment syndrome. It is highly dangerous and I could lose my hand with out this machine. This wonderful VA hospital has refused to send a wound vac here so I can have it put in place of the hospitals vac. They do not care and told my doctor just to pack the wound and leave it thou I run the risk of major infections and possible amputation of my hand.
