Really nice place, great food, great service. Halibut was cooked perfectly and chicken was awesome. Very nice wine list and great seats at the chefs table made it fun to watch the chefs work. Wish they had a different music play list though that matched the otherwise perfect experience. Why not some Tony Bennet, Diana Krall or even some Sinatra? I liked everything but was expecting just a touch better and more distinctive food.
Sat by myself at the chef's counter. Great cocktails. But listen, get the fire roasted chicken. The best way to judge a kitchen is by its chicken, I was taught, and Vernick absolutely crushed it. Best chicken I've had in a long time.
