Have always enjoyed this place. However, found out yesterday they are no longer offering hand-made fresh flour tortillas. This is not a good move, Mr. New Owner. Change is good, but only when it's an upgrade, not a downgrade. Bring back the hand-made fresh flour tortillas.
Been coming here for years, live in Houston, hadn't been here in a year. It's Friday and been here 3 hours, already close to 8pm and fucking place is dead. They raised the price on everything, $21 for a bucket are you kidding me!
This restaurant's nachos are depressing--reminded me of that scene from the Pianist where the whole family gathers around a dirty peanut and calls it delicious. The place was clean and our waiter was phenomenal, but the food was overpriced for what it was--canned, microwaved, processed, cheap. Don't come here thinking this is the best Brownsville has to offer. Take a drive down Southmost instead and try their tacos.
Not to many people around....but the waiters never came to our table after 15min of waiting. We got up to get our own menus and were ready to order. Waiter never came to ask for our drinks. bad service, it sucks because I really liked this place.
I ate there twice in eighteen hours. Great food! Awesome enchiladas. And the cashier looks a lot like J Lo.
