About this business
The history of the Greenhouse goes back approximately 100 years. In the early 1900's it began as a six room apartment house. In 1932 during prohibition it was known as a speakeasy. In the late 30's and early 40's it became a tavern serving patrons on occasion such as the notorious Dillinger and friends. We came for their awesome pizza but it was crowded at the lower level restaurant. Ended up upstairs ,which was a fine dining section we have never been to before. All these years!! No pizza but our meals were excellent and the atmosphere was fantastic.
Such a nice time.. The Staff was super friendly & attentive & the food was great
We stopped in after the beach for a drink and something to eat before heading home. We ordered frozen drinks that were far from frozen. There was barely any ice in them. I ordered a burger medium which came to the table well done. I was disappointed in our visit as family had expressed it was a great place to go.
Foods good and Maria,the bartender is fabulous and she makes you feel at home
