I like him a lot. He’s got a great sense of humor and he’s very easy to talk to and actually listens to your concerns and offers solutions. The staff at the front has improved considerably. I’ve been going to this office for many years. Dr. Speitel first and now Dr. Shepard due to Speitel retiring.
He is so professional and caring. He knows his stuff and doesn't try to over doctor. He shots it to me straight, helpful and checks on how I am doing.
As others have said - I was a long-term patient of the practice. My son passed suddenly and I called twice over a holiday weekend asking for the on-call doctor to call. Dr. Speitel would’ve called me. Dr. Shepard didn’t. I really needed help to sleep. Yesterday at 9:03 am I called telling them I had a lump in my breast and the breast center said I needed to call so I could get an advanced mammogram. Never heard back. Good doctor. Horrible staff
Dr. Shepard himself is very personable and seems like a good guy. However, when he can’t even call a long-term established patient of his office back when they are in pain and have left multiple messages for him, I unfortunately have to conclude that he’s not a good doctor. On three separate occasions requests for a return call were ignored. The last occasion was on a Friday after 2 messages were left with the front office, and a third with their on call operator when the office closed early wit
He sat down and really explained all my blood test results. He's a fine Physician, and is helpful.
Very disappointed! Went in for a preventative care appointment that I confirmed was completely covered by ins with HIM and with HIS front office staff before leaving. Soon received a bill for a regular appointment all because I mentioned that "I" checked my sugars before arriving and they where a little high. He made note of that and charged me $117. When I called to ask them to correct back to a preventative appt. they refused. Feels wrong! He did nothing but ask a few questions and charge.
