Terrible issues with communication and relaying information, we sat in the ER for 6 hours waiting for info on a loved one who was in an accident just to finally be told (when we went to ask) that we were in the wrong waiting room, no one ever told us we needed to go to a different waiting room. Then we finally got a call saying he was out of surgery and which ward to go to and when we got there we were told he wasnt there and were directed to another waiting room. I love the teaching aspect of the hospital and the staff are eager to please you. My experience has been great. The Doctors and Nurses have all kept me very aware and make me feel comfortable with the variety of tests and questions I have. They make me feel safe and assured they are going to be there for me. I love that place.
I was treated very kind and professional. It was a silly reason I was there. My mistake and still all smiles and left happy.
I took my son to E.R Tuesday night. We sat and waited watched as others came in after us and was seen. I asked why is it my son was not taken back he was in so much back pain and hurt to stand and sit. I seen a lady walk in behind us and she looked fine and walk like nothing wrong when they called her back after 15min of getting there. Then my son got called back after 1:30am and was told the doctor was getting ready to leave but she would check on him first. WTH it is a emergency room everyone should be treated equal. This hospital VCU is Awesome. The staff is so nice, helpful and respectful. Love this place. Wish it was in North Carolina.
