DO NOT LIVE HERE! Everything that can go wrong will. During my lease, my ceiling caved in due to water damage, my A/C broke during the hottest months of the year, and it took management over 6 weeks to fix either. They are completely unresponsive to both calls and emails, and they make no effort to resolve problems. The amenities are also broken most of the year and repairs have taken months for the gym equipment. This building is old and dirty, and has a lot of problems underneath the surface.
When my housing fell through elsewhere, I found myself urgently needing new options. Within the span of one afternoon, the Varsity K team set me up for a tour, was clear and transparent re. my choices and pricing, helped me with the paperwork, reviewed my completed application and presented me with a lease for signature with a move-in option that same day. The responsiveness of both Rebecca (sales) and Shawneek (management) was exceptional and I am truly grateful.
I think one of the most self explanatory things about this building/management is as a resident I can’t even get them to pick up a phone call, answer an email, or respond to an issue I’m having.
I’ve been living at Varsity on K, and my HVAC has not worked properly for nearly a full year. I’ve submitted multiple maintenance requests, followed up several times, and nothing has been fixed. I’ve also tried calling the community manager multiple times — no answer, no response , I ask the building management not to respond to this review by simply telling me to contact the community manager — I’ve already done that multiple times with no results. I agree with the poor rating that others have provided. The management did not honor the advertised promotion of one month free rental that they had advertised and agreed to apply. They did not respond to follow-up messages on the issue. And then they send a notice with a threat to vacate while we are waiting to hear back. The chances of getting anyone on the phone are miniscule, and if you are lucky to get through then the phone mailbox is full so that one cannot even leave a message. Hugely disappointed!
