My interaction with the gynecologist was so incredibly bad and horrific. I left in tears. I heard wonderful things about the office and the staff, but my interaction was extremely unkind. The doctor did not introduce herself, and immediately started making assumptions about me based on my age. Throughout the exam, making inappropriate statements that were hurtful. I would not recommend this office at all.
Was referred by PCP for colposcopy and they refused to do one
I last had an exam + pap done 6-7 years ago & waited due to a bad experience, but finally got an exam done today. The nurse who walked me back was SO nice, friendly and reassuring when I was nearly shaking from anxiety- she really helped me calm down some. I then saw Dr. Stafford! She is very soft spoken + gentle during the exams, and has kind eyes. I felt incredibly safe during, and that what concerns I had today were addressed seriously. Absolutely terrible experience with terrible doctor. She refused to order essential lab tests for my situation. She said that she didn’t know how to interpret the results- really!? You can’t order a test because you don’t know how to read reference ranges?! Fortunately, I was able to use Quest lab to get the tests ordered so I could properly manage my health. To say that Lauren Goodson Moody lacks any sort of professionalism or expertise in her field would be the understatement of the century. If you want experienced and compassionate patient care, avoid this provider at all cost. Not only did she enter the room and start my FIRST visit with her ever by saying “I’m not exactly sure why you’re here” (literally didn’t even say hello) when I was dealing with a women’s health issue, but she literally did nothing to try to help me besides telling me to drink more water.
