GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Ok - I thought b/c it was a Dental Group it sounded professional enough and it's a decent location near Russian Hill and Van Ness...but they suck at their jobs. Go back to dental school! From start to finish, you can do much better if you look around! I never even got a floss from them, just a 20 minute cleaning w/ a gargle of the Listerine and off I went. I guess I should have known better...I switched dentists and have been told that I have 4 obvious cavities that should have been detected for awhile. Th... read more
Like the others have said, the place is a racket I had read the reviews online before I went, but called Cigna (my insurance) to find out if I could change and there was going to be a one month waiting period before I could change, so I just went ahead. Went in for Xrays, and a consult. Should have been suspicious by the forms they make you fill out...asking multiple questions like "do you own or rent your home and for how long, etc. (why do you care, you are my dentist)... Anyway, they recommended deep cleaning, just like t... read more
unprofessional I got off the phone with the staff. Let me just say that whoever the supervisor for the front desk is, needs to take a customer service 101 course. You know I l/m with them on their a/m last week indicating that I needed to cancel my appointment and if they could schedule my appt sometime in October. I rcvd the call back on my a/m from them stating I need to call (again) and rescd when it was convient for me. I thought the point of my message was to cancel my appt--at the very least. Outstanding service. Van Ness Dental Group is a terrific Dental facility, and some outstanding work, and a great and helpful staff. I have nothing but praises for the type of work that they've done. They are very experienced, and knowledgeable in this line of work. If your in need of dental work, give them a whirl. Parking is a bit difficult, since there on Van Ness, however its worth the time to make an appointment with this dental facility.
Efficient, professional, and straight forward service I've read the past reviews on here from other patients and I really don't know what people are trippin' about. My experience at Van Ness Dental was nothing but positive. I received top notch treatment with straight forward explanations of cost and treatment both from the doctors and the staff. There was no hidden or unexplained costs and no such "racket" as one reviewer put it. I will be the first to admit that the decay in my mouth is due to years of junk food eating... read more
3 visits, 2-times ripped-off I went to Dr. Tran at Van Ness dental group. She recommended a deep cleaning of my teeth. I agreed but asked them not to use $300 of "anti-bacterial rinse" as it was not covered by my insurance. She did it anyway without making it clear that that was what she was doing, and afterwards (when I got pissed) agreed to charge me only $150. Still paying for a service I did not want, but fine...
