They are a racist hospital that calls the police on newly postpartum moms and newborn!
No one should ever go. Horrible hospital horrible business horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible!!!
Customer Service goes a LONG way and treat people with dignity! People should not be treated less than especially expecting parents. Do better ASAP!
I’ve been treated here numerous times over the years and the staff are always incredibly caring and helpful. My most serious illness was a kidney infection that nearly killed me. I was in the hospital for 12 days, in the ICU for two, and I received the best treatment possible. The nursing staff here are wonderful and the physicians, especially those in the Emergency Room, are total professionals. Yes, the wait in the ER can be long sometimes, but it’s a Level 1 trauma center. If I had a serious injury or major illness there’... read more
This center is racist and disgusting. They used the police to throw out a new mother and her newly born child. Black women are women too! Child labor doesn’t hurt us any less than it hurts white women and we deserve to be treated with the same respect, care and concern. You need to re-evaluate your staff as well as any practices that would allow or condone this barbaric behavior.
As a mother who is 9 months post partum I am deeply troubled and saddened at the awful way the family with their newborn were treated when they requested a breast pump at your hospital. Having the police called, not allowing the wife privacy to get dressed, and making them feel unsafe by calling the police is both angering and infuriating. This calls for a complete overhaul of your hospital policies along with a public apology to the family.
just watched the hospital staff break HIPPA violations. they also put a woman out of the hospital right after delivery because the family requested a new nurse. she was naked and still have the IV port in her arm. shameful
The video of a postpartum family being removed from this hospital by police is incredibly upsetting. The fact that this facility would allow a newly postpartum mother and newborn out of their Care undressed and still with an IV in arm shows the type of care you might receive here. Their nurse tried to talk them out of using a breast pump. Do you work in health care or not? If you are a nurse in labor and delivery it is your JOB to help establish a breastfeeding relationship if that is what the parents want- HOWEVER it looks!... read more
Have you seen the video of how they treated the family of color that asked for a new nurse. They called the police on them and had them arrested. Although I do not know all of the circumstances I’ve been a nurse for 21 years and have never ever seen a situation that would call for a family to be treated this way. treating a family like this is disgusting!!!!
