Had a mountain bike front wheel that was riding rough and bouncy. They went above and beyond my expectations and charged me way less than I expected. They've helped me out in the past with bike breakdowns and have always been excellent. I always refer and recommend valley bike and ski!!!
If you're looking for a DEAL on a bike THIS WEEKEND - Valley is hosting a BIKE SWAP where I've left two bikes of mine among many that seem in reasonably good used condition. So, here's my endorsement of a good bike shop that always seems to have time to devote to me when I visit. Worth a look.

Today, the brakes on my bike went entirely OUT! I was pedaling around AV running errands. When I attempted to cross Co Rd 42 and Cedar, I realized I had no brakes. Since I broke my toe 2 weeks ago, "foot stopping" isn't an option. Rode gingerly to Valley Bike and Ski, and the nicest man fixed my brakes and checked out a few other things to keep me safely on the road. They came to my rescue. Mr. bike fixer, she rides better than when I started this morning. Thank you!
We just purchased a bike at Valley Bike and Ski and found the same exact bike for $500 less expensive. We hadn't yet picked up the bike and asked if they could match the price, or at least bring the price down. They refused to move on the price. We have purchased all of our bikes and ski gear here for years and were disappointed to feel like we weren't valued as their customers. We will be going somewhere else for purchases. They broke a piece on my bike and then told me that I brought it to them broken... poor service. I will never come here again. I recommend that everyone take photos of their belongings before bringing anything in to make sure your equipment does not leave in worse condition. Erik's bike shop was able to fix what they broke right away. Just unnecessary time and money spent out if my pocket for their mistake. Take responsibility and own up to your mistakes!
