food is good, rooms are average for Vail and the service is horrible...Elite Platinum with Marriott and I had to ask for everything, including an upgrade...had the turn down service walk in on my changing and the never knocked or announces themselves and i got nothing but excuses from the manager...only stay there bc i have to
We travelled with two kids, 4 and 8. Our room was beautiful with a gorgeous aspen tree at the balcony, overlooking the fire pit and the outdoor pool and jacuzzi. I can’t say enough about how friendly and helpful the staff were as far as giving us tips for the trails we picked for the day, the daily s’mores in the afternoon, the beer and whiskey tasting. When booking the hotel wasn't told about the resort fee or the valet parking.. Get to our room had black little hairs in the bathroom floor, crumbs on the counter and more hair in the bed... Called down to get a different room we had to change buildings and then this room had even more hair in the bathroom and in the shower.
Very dissappointed and not what I expected for a Marriot in Vail. Black hair in the bathroom looked like pubic hair and in the bed when I first pulled down the sheets, and my hair is not black. Complained and moved to another room.Had to walk to another building passing a diabetic needle on the floor. 2nd room worse with lots of long black hair in the shower, little trash pieces on the carpet obviously not vacuumed, vending machine 3 flights up and $3.00 for a water. Service is exceptional! Plenty of people to take care of your needs. Ski valet service works well. Front desk staff always does a great job. Walk to the lift is not bad. I always use the valet for coming back.
Beautiful facility in a beautiful setting. I have been to many Marriott properties around the world and have not encountered more pleasant and helpful staff in all capacities.
