My sciatica nerve has been pinched for going on three weeks now. My doctor was out of office when it first happened so they wouldn't schedule an MRI appointment for me until he got back. Well its been going on two weeks now since it was put in for scheduling with the radiology department. Well guess what, they are just now scheduling appointments in late January for Veterans who was put into the system for an MRI on October 19 and 20. I don't have a bad thing to say. Everyone was friendly and professional.
I have had extremely good service at both VA Hospitals that I have dealt with both in Prescott and Phoenix. Dr Roger Nutt of the White team in Prescott is one of the best Doctors I have ever had. He takes the time to get to know you as a person not just a patient. The White team is composed of a group dedicated professionals that will do what is needed to help their Veterans. The Dr. is Podiatry is awesome and the nurses too. They always treat my husband with great care and kindness.
Never had a problem. They treat me with respect and take my health seriously . Sometimes more serious than I do. Never had to wait too long for my appointments. Nurses and Doctors are very attentive and seem to know what they are doing. :-)
My concern was that I was sent to get a x-ray when I got there,the waiting room was packed least told they had an equipment problem,the wait was almost two hours,no one from the department gave us any further options such as maybe you could come back later if not an emergency and perhaps get other things done,so I just waited, I believe better and a more considered response could have been provided.
It is A Great Place for Veterans the Receive Help and Many Problems , Especially The Domiciliary.
We have had 4 interactions with the VA hospital in Prescott, they have been wonderful. They call the vets they serve "Sir", and are thoughtful and considerate. My husband's doctor is great. Very very pleased with everything there.
I would just like to take a moment to praise a Dr. Ralph (my apologies if the spelling is incorrect). This Dr. both made me feel comfortable when I was scared and alleviated some confusion that was taking place. She embodies everything that is both great and should be of both the VA and the medical community as a whole.
