Well let me say, the local community clinic (kingman) is great, Prescott is another story, I have to wait MONTHS to get authorizations for my cancer treatment! I average about 4 or 5 months to get someone to authorize my treatments, ALL of this falls on the Prescott VA hospital. I had an authorization for a CT of chest and abdomen, a day after approval, Prescott cancels it and request my local VA doc to resubmit it ad 2 separate requests????? Really? stupid. Excellent service great care from all employees and other Veterans
I was able to get an appointment fairly quick only because they hired some Dr. from India that should not be treating animals. He ordered Lab work and did prescribe a years worth of medication without even seeing the results of the lab work. I still have not been called for a followup appointment, it's a good thing I have experience with the medical field and can adjust my medication without the help of this camel jockey of a Doctor. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my father for 5.5 years. Our family really appreciated the excellent care he was given there. The vets are always treated with dignity, respect and compassion. From the bottom of our hearts thank you to all staff members.
My dad Harry has been in the northern va heath care system for some time. He is cared for and care about. He is respected and treated with dignity. We, the family am thankful he is in this wonderful va where the care giver act as one team to provide physical, spiritual and social care. He has quality of life although paralyzed. My mo.
